Inspirational words from the Son of the Broken One

Amaren addresses the congregation at a temple of Ilmater, providing inspiration to all who attend. Read his stirring speech here.

At the end of his oration, Amaren steps from the podium amidst the cheers of the crowd and makes his way to the rear of the temple where he and others will distribute packages to the congregation as they leave.

Mothers bring children forward and ask for the paladin's blessing, which he bestows freely. Commoners, merchants, craftsman and lords all take possession of the packages and shake Amaren's hand, promising to spead the kindness he has so graciously donated throughout the city. His gift for detecting malevolence would be wasted in this place- only kindness and benevolence live here.

Several of the more well-to-do patrons follow Amaren's example and pledge gifts to purchase more materials for the less fortunate. Brother Hedlin quickly sets up a distribution area on the steps of the church and acolytes are sent out into the city to gather those without means so that their burden can be shouldered by those inspired here this day.

A bard produces a lute and sits on the steps, singing a song filled with lyrics about the strength of numbers, the Broken One's wisdom and a fine, young paladin who lives only to serve-
